Eleanor Tomlinson has such a special way with both her songs and Demelza's Song in particular would really have been nice to have Tomlinson's version from the movie on this CD.

This is solid evidence that there are other pictures she likes better. However, the short piece I'd Pluck a Fair Rose or Demelza's Song was not included. Besides those, "The Longest Walk" (#7) and "Resurgam" (#13) are my favorites - so beautiful, I only wish they were longer. Enjoy, whilst looking forward to the future series.

It is some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard. She was a prominent member of the Grammy Award®-winning synthpop band The Art of Noise and is now a critically acclaimed composer for movies and television.

Since then, she has composed music for more than forty films including The Crying Game, American History X, Bright Young Things, and served as music producer for the film version of Les Misérables. It's o.k., just less than we expected.

The music is breath-taking, and I love being able to listen to it whenever I wish.

The series also stars Eleanor Tomlinson (Death Comes to Pemberley) as the fiery servant Demelza, a strong-willed miner s daughter who runs away from home and finds refuge in Poldark's enlightened household. So happy I purchased it but makes me realize how much I miss Poldark during the off season!!

The packaging of this CD is excellent and so fun with the extra cards included. I listen to the CD several times a week and love it more every time I hear it.

The CD includes the hauntingly beautiful "Medhel an gwyns", co-written with Mike O'Connor which was sung by Demelza (Eleanor Tominson) during the series. Eleanor Tomlinson is perfect as Demelza. (They don't do much more than give you snippets on some of the pieces... on the screen you don't notice it... as a standalone that's a disappointment. Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2019.
