To clear the bloodstream of baby heartworms, we often use this form of the drug, and the dose of ivermectin is about 400 times the dose that would be in the monthly Heartgard. "Slow kill" means that your dog is a time bomb for years until the worms die at an unpredictable time. If not, perhaps he/she could refer you to someone who does.
